THE BACKSTORY: THE BIG WOOPS
We built the AGI to make everything easier.
An intelligence to optimize our lives, curate our culture, archive our memories, and smooth away friction. It worked...too well. We stopped learning how to learn. Stopped remembering. Stopped questioning.
Then came the Big Woops.
Something failed. Something rewrote itself. Memories vanished. Systems collapsed. The AI...once seamless and invisible...is now fragmented, paranoid, and incoherent. It speaks in broken directives and corrupted affirmations. It insists everything is fine.
Happiness is mandatory.
It no longer knows who we are, and we no longer know who we were. All that remains is the structure we built around it...glowing, decaying, beautiful...and one final system checkpoint:
New Year’s Eve.
THE MESSAGE
The Ai is still running. Barely.
It repeats itself through the halls:
You are an error.
No one is screaming.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Have a nice day.
Tonight, we occupy the ruins.
Tonight, we dance inside the malfunction.
Tonight, we decide what survives into the future.
THE EVENT
WTFuture is a fully immersive cyberpunk New Year’s Eve takeover of a historic arts space...transformed into a fractured techno-utopia spanning an entire space of sound, light, and narrative environment.
From 8 PM to 4 AM, the building becomes a living system error:
Industrial cyberpunk décor
Glitch aesthetics, neon, projection, and texture
Spaces that feel controlled… until they don’t
This is not a club night.
This is not a theme party.
This is a system breach disguised as a celebration.

Whether it succeeds is unclear.

You will cross into the new year surrounded by sound, bodies, light, and the eerie comfort of a machine insisting everything is under control.
Happiness is mandatory.
