Your local PBS station invites you to an open house at the WSRE television studios in the Kugelman Center for Telecommunications at Pensacola State College. This free event will include studio tours and PBS KIDS activities for children, including meet-and-greets with Clifford the Big Red Dog.Get a behind-the-scenes look at station operations and learn about our programming, productions, and educational services.
Indoors, you can take a tour of our production studios and see yourself on TV! Plus, enjoy the music of contemporary jazz artist Gino Rosaria in the Amos Performance Studio.
Outdoors, you can perk up at Travelin' Tom's Coffee … grab lunch from Sonny’s BBQ … and safely gaze at the sun with our favorite NOVA nerds from the Escambia Amateur Astronomers Association. Kids can cool off with Kona Ice, too!
Our August pledge drive is happening now, so we hope you’ll stop by to learn more about your local PBS station and become a member while you're here!
You are also invited to participate in the #ILoveWSRE viewer support campaign. Share your own WSRE story by submitting a video or written testimonial about why you support public television on our website at wsre.org/value ... or have our crew tape your spot during the open house!
Video testimonials will be filmed during the event, which is free and open to the public. Ample parking is available on campus near the Jean & Paul Amos Studio entrance and PSC tennis courts. We are located at the corner of College Boulevard and 12th Avenue, across the street from airport parking.
