Big Brothers Big Sisters is hosting a Chess event on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 9:00AM-2:30PM at Hartford Union High School's Cafeteria in Hartford (805 Cedar St, Hartford, WI). This event is for those new to chess or just beginning or for Big & Little Matches or the youth currently waiting to be matched with a mentor, to come and learn the basics of chess and participate in a chess tournament.
Everyone in the tournament can win trophies or medals and Littles will receive a free chessboard! Bigs and Big's for a Day are encouraged to participate along with the Littles. Lunch will be provided to everyone.
Volunteer to be a Big For a Day to help a young person learn the game of chess! This event is in partnership with Wisconsin Scholastic Chess Federation and is sponsored by #Chess.com!
