Join us on September 28th from 11 AM to 2 PM at Dear Mom for a hands-on writing workshop as part of Festival 451indy!✍️📚 In keeping with the theme "Here There Be Monsters," editors from genesis Literary and Art Magazine will guide you through creating a compelling sympathetic villain using curated writing prompts.
🖋️ Explore the complexity of characters often labeled as "monsters" and bring them to life in your own unique story.Next, you'll format your stories into a simple zine, with a demo and discussion on the history of zines led by folks from the Ray Bradbury Center and IU Indy.
Plus, Our Type Love will be on-site with a fleet of Ray Bradbury-reminiscent typewriters to add a vintage flair to your creation!
📝🖨️All supplies will be provided, and Dear Mom’s zine display will inspire your zine-making journey. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to unleash your inner monster—and leave with a one-of-a-kind creation!
