About this Event
In a world shaped by cultural collisions, technological reckoning, and existential loneliness, imagination becomes not a retreat but a response: fierce, ethical, and full of wonder.
Join us for a generative writing workshop exploring storytelling across time, space, and identity—through letters, messages, and transmissions from fractured presents and imagined futures.
Inspired by the speculative vision of Ray Bradbury and this year’s Festival 451indy theme, fierce imagination, participants will write in epistolary and fragmented formats that challenge traditional storytelling.
What to Expect:
- A welcoming, low-pressure space for writers of all levels
- Guided writing prompts and dedicated time to write
- Optional sharing and reflection in small groups
- Creative inspiration drawn from speculative fiction and lived experience
- Connection with other writers, readers, and dreamers
This event is facilitated by the Ray Bradbury Center in partnership with genesis literature & art magazine and Indy Type Shop as part of Festival 451indy—a citywide celebration of literature, imagination, and community.
Free and open to the public. All materials provided. Just bring a notebook, your curiosity, and a willingness to explore.
