About this Event

Writing with scissors: conversations and cut-ups in poetry

Poet Jo Bell (National Poetry Day, the Arvon Foundation, the Poetic Licence) leads a day of poetry writing and serious playfulness. We will write from unidentified fragments of poetry, news or historical manuscripts; cut up others' poetry to make new poems that respond to it; and experiment with paper and scissors to make unexpected word art. This hands-on workshop will break open new writing patterns, explore your relationship with poems you love, and show your writing practice in a new light.
