About this Event
An informal, friendly, therapeutic creative writing group (of no more than 8 participants). No writing experience necessary.
This workshop is also available online on Sunday 30th November at 4.30pm.
Christmastime can make a recent or imminent loss more painful or reopen older wounds of grief. Step into a nurturing space of words and reflection with Emma Garrard, Psychotherapist and Biblio/Poetry Therapist.
Through guided writing, inspired by poetry, prose, and images, you’ll be invited to explore your thoughts and feelings around Christmas — a season that for some can deepen feelings of sadness, loneliness and grief.
Sharing your writing is always optional but the invitation is there to share and discuss your writing with others.
What you will need: if you have a favourite notepad you like to write in, please bring it, but paper and pens are provided.
Please note: these workshops are for adults aged 18 and over. Refunds are only available up to 7 days before the event.
Please do try to arrive at the session on time. It isn't always possible to admit late comers to the session.
About the Facilitator
The facilitator, Emma Garrard, is a Biblio/Poetry Therapist with over 20 years' experience facilitating groups, who will safely and expertly guide you through the writing process.
YOU ARE VERY WELCOME TO MEET WITH EMMA FOR A 20 MIN ZOOM CALL BEFORE ATTENDING FOR THE FIRST TIME. This is encouraged so that you know what to expect and can manage your emotional safety in the group. You can arrange this by contacting Emma directly on 07974 814978 or [email protected].
