Writing the Body Writing Course at MoLI
A four week writing course exploring connection with our bodies
About this Event

The seasons shift, summer becomes autumn becomes the beating heart of the world. Are you present? Can you feel the divorce of the seasons? The weight of your body's place in the world? We are taught to exit our body, to bow down to the labour of everyday, to the grind. And we exit too to protect ourselves, in illness, in struggle, in poverty, in trauma. There are so many reasons we choose to disconnect from our beautiful bodies.

I will be facilitating a four week course in October called Writing the Body. suitable for beginner writers and practiced writers. We will work together as a community to connect back to our bodies, to welcome our spirits into our soft homes. Expect writing prompts, community, editorial support, body work, meditation and awakening to your presence.

I am an award winning writer and Community Development Worker and will be bringing both of these skills to hold a space for us to open up to our wild and precious lives. There is a graded pay scale available for differing incomes. If you are struggling with money at the moment and would like to join, please get in touch with me by email at [email protected]

Graded Pay Scale:

€100 - Basic Fee- Reserved for working class writers, low income writers, disabled/chronically ill writers, members of the Travelling Ccommunity, BIPOC writers and trans writers
