In support of The Murmuration of Words Exhibition at Oriel y Parc, St Davids, poet Jane Campbell will explore with you how to write sketch portraits. Like an artist doodling on a napkin, you'll find the key words that capture a person’s essence. Through fun and imagination-stirring exercises you will learn to write in a way that brings the people around you to life on the page.
Jane has lived in a secluded, rural, Welsh community for the past 25 years. She has a City and Guilds in Life-Long-Learning, and has had the pleasure of facilitating many writing workshops.
This workshop will take place in the discovery room at Oriel y Parc, St Davids. All participants will receive a free Murmuration of Words postcard and badge.
Jane won the Geoff Stevens Poetry Prize 2021 with her debut collection, Slowly as Clouds , and the Disability Arts Cymru Creative Writing Prize in 2022.
