In this workshop led by poet and educator Susan Lilley, the large-scale photographs featured in Clyde Butcher: Cathedrals of Florida will inspire participants' poetry. The program will include an exclusive tour of the exhibition and a guided writing exercise.Susan Lilley is a Florida native, brought up in the kingdom of orange groves, palm trees, palmetto bugs, and heat stroke. Her work has appeared in American Poetry Review, Gulf Coast, Poet Lore, The Southern Review, Drunken Boat, Saw Palm, Sweet, and other journals. Her chapbooks are Night Windows and Satellite Beach. She teaches AP Literature at Trinity Preparatory School and has taught at UCF and Rollins College. She was the inaugural poet laureate for the city of Orlando.
