About this Event
Unlock the power of your inner voice through intuitive writing—a practice that helps you tap into your thoughts, emotions, and creativity without judgment. This class is designed to help you quiet the noise, trust your instincts, and express yourself freely on paper. Through guided prompts, mindfulness techniques, and reflective exercises, you'll gain clarity, self-awareness, and a deeper connection to your authentic voice. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting, this class will help you write with intention, release mental blocks, and embrace the flow of your creativity.
This class will take place at a temporary location. The class will be in the downstairs area of Talon Bar (the area is titled No Exit). Once you come downstairs you won't need to go back up unless you wish to. You DO NOT need to purchase food or drink. Water will be made available. Restrooms are located downstairs and we are able to control the lights and music to create the perfect energy for our work. We have use of the entire downstairs area and will not be disturbed.
Week 1: What is intuitive writing and how does it benefit you?
To start, we'll dive into what intuitive writing is and its benefits. We would discuss what you would gain from taking the class. Is it to spark creativity? Unblock hidden emotions? Develop a stronger intuition? Find your voice as a writer? This class is not about perfectionism. We want to refrain from overanalyzing or focusing on grammar and lean into the subconscious. Guided meditation and word prompts would be used to encourage the class to write freely. Focusing on less thinking and more being.
Take home assigment.
Week 2: Visual prompting to open the mind
Start with a brief recap of last week. Did anything interesting come up for you while doing your take home assignment? Dissect what has come up for you in your writing. Using an affirmation deck, you'd use your selected card as a prompt for this week's writing.
Take home assignment.
Week 3: What does your subconsiouc think about you?
For the final class we'll focus on the question, "How do you feel about yourself?" This is a loaded question, depending on where you are in is in your healing journey. We will then focus on the "why?" The class would be guided to write why you feel that way intuitively. What's the source? When did this story begin? Age? Location? Repetitively asking why helps prompt deeper exploration; doing it intuitively can highlight the source of a false belief.
Final assignment and steps for continued practice.
