✍️ Writer’s Workshop 🎭
Join the Barton Community College Library, English Department, and the staff of Barton’s literary annual Prairie Ink for a playwriting workshop with special guest Barton Theatre Instructor Jack Greenwood!

Participants will explore what makes a story theatrical, learn how to craft a plot for the stage, write stage directions, and engage a live audience while focusing on format and structure.
This workshop is open to students, faculty, staff, and community members—and is a great intro for high school writers interested in the upcoming High School Playwrights Festival (spring 2026)! Selected student plays will be performed on stage, and a champion playwright will be named. Stay tuned for more information on the festival!
