Join Kate Lebo, Sam Ligon, and Lora Lea Misterly of Quillisascut Farm for a reading and social with graduates of Writers on the Farm, an intensive food writing workshop that helps connect writers with where their food comes from.
Every year they seek a diverse group of students from all backgrounds, levels of experience, and writing or food systems specialties. If you’re a journalist, poet, memoirist, fiction writer, farmer, chef, home cook, dreamer, gardener, or just someone who wants to tell deep stories about food, come meet other people like yourself, see if this workshop is right for you, and learn about scholarship opportunities for Spokane County residents.
We’ll have brief readings from Kate and Sam and from Writers on the Farm graduates Eliza Billingham, Cara Strickland, and Spencer Young. And yes—there will be pie.
