About this Event
The Writer's Commune is a social event/writing circle for anyone who struggles to find the space to let their creative juices flow. Activities include icebreakers for people to get to know their fellow writers, a structured writing period, and plenty of time for people to share their work.
The BSTOX Writer's Commune is a safe space for writers of all persuasions! There's a big artistic community in NYC, but it's a bit difficult for people to involve themselves because they can't get the space in their life to work without some limitations: they don't have the time available, the energy to work, or the wherewithal to come up with an idea they're proud of. This will be both a creative space and something of a support group, dedicated to helping people find what they need to make what they want.
Lilith Leys is an English major at Brooklyn College and an enterprising writer! She volunteers at Bluestockings in her free time and writes as much as she can handle. She hosts the Writer's Commune! Join her this month and get your write on!
This is a free event but a donation to the Bluestockings Cooperative / tip for Lilith is highly recommended.
