About this Event
Each month we will read a book on the craft of writing. Meetings will include an optional happy hour, with time to mix and mingle, get a drink from the Mini Bar, and do a little browsing or book buying. Happy hour will be followed by ninety minutes of book discussion and guided, no-pressure writing prompts. You may leave with the start of a new story, essay, or poem!
Writers at Work is for ALL writers, from the experienced professional to the nervous beginner and everyone in between. Join us for inspiration, community, and a hands-on exploration of some of the most interesting and exciting books about writing that are out there today.
This month's book will be Natalie Goldberg's Writing Down the Bones: Freeing the Writer Within. Discussion will be led by Bookends University director Jeremy T. Wilson.
Schedule:
Optional Happy Hour: 5:30-6pm
Book discussion and writing exercises: 6-7:30pm
Tuition for each session is $45, which includes a copy of the book. You can pick up your book at the store or have it mailed to you.
