About this Event

Join us for a poetry workshop with Wytham Woods’ Writer in Residence, Penny Boxall. May is associated with many folk customs. In this workshop, we’ll consider ways to update folksong tropes and write tradition-inflected nature poems for our own times.

Meet at the Chalet. (Please allow 20 minutes to walk up from the main Wytham Woods car park at Sawmill Yard [What3Words: ///proven.hosts.ever]: follow the tarmac road through Gibson’s Gate and follow it to the top of the hill. The Chalet is the three-storey building on the right. Penny will meet you outside.)

Please bring a notebook and pen. The event is intended for adults. Hopefully we’ll also get out into the Woods themselves if the weather permits, so wear comfortable clothes and suitable footwear.

The event ends at the Chalet at 12.30, so please allow 20 minutes after that to return to the car park.
