This workshop is a training in writing for the screen. In this unique weekend you’ll learn the essentials of storytelling from India’s leading storytelling organization Tall Tales. It takes place over the course of two days: Saturday July 13th and Sunday July 14th from 10am to 5pm on both days.

Saturday the first day of the workshop features dozens of exercises games group work and topics of discussion designed to teach you how stories are structured and how you can transform your story writing immediately. From how to create unforgettable characters to how to breathe life into the architecture of your world building this workshop walks you through more than ten of the essential pillars of narrative design. And it's all designed for writers of ANY level of experience.

On Day 2 Sunday you will learn several ways in which you can design your stories for cinema. You will learn how to create emotionally charged characters whose values translate on screen to capture a large audience. You will also learn the art of dialogue writing.

You will learn the many different ways you can design a 90-minute film including how to move with a certain pace tempo and rhythm to arrive at a climactic scene towards which your audience is waiting at the edges of their seats. We’ll look closely at Scene Design Sequence Design and Act Design. All in all you will learn how to adapt general principles of screenplay writing and then take them to different genres in cinema.
