About this Event
To mark the opening of Wrexham's refurbished markets and the Victorian Christmas Market, Green Badge Tourist Guide,Katie Crowther, will be leading an additional Wrexham City Guided Tour.
Wrexham is an historic borders market town which was at the forefront of the industrial revolution.
On the walking tour you will;
- Visit St Giles Parish Church - The glory of the Marches and burial place of Elihu Yale.
- Learn about Wrexham's brewing history - and a martyr who came to a grisly end!
- Learn about the football story, plus much more!
There will also be the chance for you after the tour to visit the Victorian Christmas Market taking place at various locations across the city centre. Open until 8pm on this date.
The walk will go ahead whatever the weather so please dress appropriately.
The route may cover uneven surfaces and include some steps so please wear suitable footwear. If you have any mobility issues or other accessibility concerns, please contact the organiser before booking to ensure the route can be adjusted accordingly.
If the event has to be cancelled at short notice for any reason, the organisers will make every effort to contact you using details provided at the time of booking.
Regular Wrexham City Guided tours take place on Wrexham AFC home game dates and throughout the year. Please enquire with Wrexham Visitor Information Centre or check Eventbrite listings by myself and my colleague, Pete Evans Tourist Guide.
