Stadium High School qualifying girl wrestlers will compete in the "WIAA Girls 3A/4A Region 2" Regional Wrestling Championships Tournament at Bonney Lake High School in Bonney Lake.The Stadium Girls regionals championship tournament will be on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Bonney Lake High School.
On TrackWrestling, the event is titled "WIAA Girls 3A/4A Region 2" Brackets are already released in TrackWrestling. If the brackets change, the Stadium Coaching Staff will let you know.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE for Saturday, February 10
7:00 am Doors open for teams/athletes to enter. Locker rooms and check scales available. Showtime for Stadium Girls inside Bonney Lake High School Main Gym is 7:00 am.
7:55 am All participants should be in the weigh-in area (BLHS Upper Gym)
8:00 am Weigh-ins conducted by Weight Class. Picture ID required for all wrestlers
8:45 am Doors open to spectators
9:00 am Coaches meeting

12:30 pm Championship semi-finals and Consolation quarters & semi-finals

WEIGH IN PROCEDURE
Scales will be open at 7:00 am to check weight.
Reminder, National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) rule 4.4.3 prohibits methods intended to promote quick weight loss “At any time...”, and could result in disqualification.
Weight classes will be called individually, beginning with 100 lbs.
Weigh in – 8:00 am, Upper Gym.
Wrestlers must have photo ID, either a driver’s license or school ID photo, at the time of weigh-in.
**ID on a phone will not be acceptable, must be actual card or school printout**
Medals and Mat Classic Program Pictures
Pictures will be taken immediately after the championship match as each weight class concludes. All placing wrestlers must be available and must report immediately to the awards area when their weight class is called. The pictures will be in the magazine for the Mat Classic XXXV State Championship Wrestling Tournament. Only wear your school-issued and approved warm-up tops and bottoms during the award presentation and State Program photo. Hoodies must be down/off head. No headphones allowed in the pictures.
AWARDS
Medals will be awarded to the top 5 place finishers in each weight class. The top 5 finishers must have school approved warm-up tops and bottoms on during the award presentation and State Program photo. Awards and State photos will be done immediately after the final match in each weight class. We will not wait until the end of the finals round to award the medals. The coach of the Region 2 Champion wrestler will be asked to assist with the award presentation. There is no team award given during this first round of the state tournament (Regional tournament).
STATE QUALIFIERS
Top 5 finishers in each weight class will qualify for the State “Mat Classic XXXV” Championship Wrestling Tournament to be held at the Tacoma Dome, February 16 & 17, 2024. The 6th place finisher in each weight class will be named the alternate for any Region 2 scratches for that weight class.
MEET PROCEDURES
The National Anthem will open the Tournament, just before the start of Round 1.
FLOOR RESTRICTIONS
Only wrestlers, coaches, officials and designated school staff are permitted in the lower main floor area. Non-wrestlers that are permitted in the lower main gym floor area must wear the provided wrist band to be allowed entrance into the lower gym. All others are restricted to the upstairs viewing area and the gym lobby.
MATCH CHECK-IN PROCESS
Weight classes, wrestlers and mat assignments will be called by announcer and can be identified on the TrackWrestling projection screen in the main gym or the view screen in the gym lobby. Wrestlers who are “on deck” should report to their assigned mat and will check in at their mat scorer table when the previous match concludes. All other wrestlers should remain in the stands. Only two support staff are allowed mat side during their participant’s bout – they may be head coaches, assistant coaches, trainers or managers. Two mat side chairs will be provided.
LOCKER/DRESSING ROOMS
While using the locker/dressing rooms, wrestlers will continuously keep the area clean by depositing debris in waste cans, by not tamper with PE baskets and will leave bulletin boards alone. Locker rooms will not be locked, so personal items should not be left unattended. Each athlete or coach is responsible for the security of their own items.
SIGNS
As per league and WIAA rule, no signs will be allowed except for the official school banner.
BANDS/NOISE MAKERS
No bands are allowed. Artificial noise makers are NOT allowed and may be confiscated by tournament personnel.

REGIONALS CLOTHING APPAREL
There will be a vendor that will be selling branded clothing apparel for this regionals tournament. Please have cash or card ready to purchase these items, as desired.
FOOD
Concession stand will be available. No Cooking or food preparation is allowed inside the gym building.
Because of the small team size of the qualifying Stadium Girl Wrestlers, the Stadium Wrestling Mini Boosters will not be providing a cooler with snacks and beverages.
Please pack and bring a small to medium (carry size) cooler for your Stadium Girl Wrestler to bring to the tournament. Recommend healthy snacks/meals and beverage to keep your student athlete fueled throughout the tournament.
TRAINERS/FIRST AID
Certified Athletic Trainers from Olympic Sports & Spine will be present and will serve as official event medical authority. A licensed physician may be on call, if available.
HOSPITALITY ROOM
A hospitality room will be provided by the Bonney Lake High School wrestling booster club. Access to the hospitality room is reserved for coaches, designated staff and officials, and you must be wearing tournament access wristbands.
DIRECTIONS TO BONNEY LAKE HIGH SCHOOL
From Highway 167 (North or Southbound):
-Take the Highway 410, Sumner/Yakima exit eastbound
-Follow Hwy 410 up the hill into Bonney Lake
-At the fifth (5th) traffic light on Hwy 410, turn right onto South Prairie Road
-At the first traffic light on South Prairie, turn right onto 199th
-At the first traffic light on 199th, turn right onto 104th
-School is just past the Maintenance/Transportation Center on the left
-Fan parking entry – first driveway past the reader board on the left
-Team drop-off entry – second driveway past the reader board
PARKING
Athlete drop off is in front of the main gym, next to the Performing Arts Center. Fans can park in the lower main lot, the stalls in front of the gym or in the upper lot. PARK in designated stalls only. DO NOT park in any area labeled as No Parking, areas that are coned off or in the loop area around the rock in front of the Performing Arts Center. Emergency vehicle access must be available at all times. OVERSIZED vehicles shall not park in the area surrounding the main gym. Oversized vehicles will park in the lower or upper parking lots on campus. The parking area in front of or behind the gym is not to be used by oversized vehicles, buses, or vans.
