REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom. The WAA theme, which has stood the test of time is REMMBER, HONOR, and TEACH. When placing a Veterans Remembrance Wreath in front of a Veteran's tombstone, you are asked to REMEMBER him / her by saying their name out loud; then HONOR the Veteran by saying a short prayer, or saluting, or both. And finally, reach out to TEACH the young children WHY we do this activity - to honor those who have served our country.
On December 13, 2025 at 09:30 am, VA0829P - American Legion Post 24 will be helping VFW Post 609 and Alexandria National Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
Please help us honor, remember, and teach about these fallen heroes by sponsoring remembrance wreaths and volunteering to lay the remberence wreaths. Please invite your family and friends to attend with you.
