Since ancient times, humans have brought decorative evergreen boughs and other greenery indoors and hung wreaths outside to celebrate the season. Join us at Quiet City Books for a morning of wreath making to adorn your doors and homes and welcome the holiday season.We'll get you started on the technique and different style options and then allow your creativity to fly by allowing you to create your own style of wreath. Each person will go home with a wreath, with option to make a swag or two if you have time or interest.
Organically grown Balsam Fir (donated by Celebration Tree Farm in Durham) and a few other native tree boughs will be provided along with wire and wreath rings. Feel free to bring along any additional greenery, dried fruits, pinecones, ornaments, bows, bells or other items from home that you might like to use on your creation!
Please bring your own pair of pruning clippers for branches.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend, this program is great for families and singles alike!
