Six years ago, on July 2nd, 2015, Cecil the lion succumbed to injuries inflicted upon him by American dentist Walter Palmer. Palmer and his hunting guides lured Cecil out of his normal, protected range and ruthlessly hunted Cecil with a bow and arrow. After being initially shot, Cecil suffered for approximately 12 hours before ultimately being killed by Palmer.Palmer tortured Cecil in this manner because he gets a thrill out of killing and wanted Cecil's body for a trophy.

Speak out against evil trophy hunting on the 6 year anniversary of Cecil's passing. We encourage you to commemorate the event by posting information about trophy hunting, facts about lions, selfies of yourself as a lion or roaring for Cecil, or anything else to raise awareness about the plight of innocent animals gunned down by bloodthirsty killers.
This year will be Birmingham's 5 year anniversary hosting this event. I started out on my own and hoped people would come along and they did each year has grown bigger and better. Please join us to be a loud voice for animals.
