WrapUp London Sorting Session
Help us prepare warm clothing donations for those in need this winter. There is lots to get involved in at our sorting sessions. From sorting and packing, to logistics and note writing, and there is always plenty to do for our wonderful volunteers!
All our warm coats are checked for holes, stains, broken zips and missing buttons. If something is hindering the quality & warmth of the donation, it will be recycled. Volunteers also check the coat pockets to make sure nothing has been left behind, often bringing about surprises! Volunteers then sort and pack all of the coats so that they are ready to be shipped out to those who need them.
While we receive thousands of coats each year, the number of donations available to sort through may vary each session. We use any valuable time this creates to support other charitable activities, including writing personalised notes to be placed in the coat’s pockets to let the most vulnerable know that we’re thinking of them.
If you missed your chance to drop-off coats at a tube station or community drop-off point, you can bring your own preloved, warm coats along too!
