About this Event
Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) is an evidence-based mental health education curriculum developed by people in mental health recovery and for people in recovery from a variety of life challenges. Some examples include mental health recovery, recovery from incarceration, substance use recovery and trauma recovery after serving in combat.
This training is specifically for students/interns enrolled in the College of DuPage's (COD) CRSS/CPRS Sucess Program. Former COD CRSS Success Graduates and prospective students are also invited to participate. CRSS/CPRS CEU certificates will be emailed to participants within thirty days after the WRAP Symposium.
Symposium objectives include:
- Introduce WRAP Values & Ethics
- Examine Key Concepts
- Develop a Wellness Toolbox
- Identify Action Plans
- Explore Recovery Topic of Self-Esteem
- Have a fun-filled day of wellness!
ARRIVAL
The Symposium will be held at the Health and Science Center (HSC 1301). We recommend arriving by 9:15am to sign in and we will begin promptly at 9:30am.
LUNCH
You're on your own for lunch. Bring lunch money or bring lunch with you.
NOTE
This Symposium provides a brief overview to familiarize yourself with WRAP as Recovery Support/Peer Support Specialists. This Symposium does NOT provide facilitator certification. It does NOT meet the requirements for Seminar One or Seminar Two.
