The WRAP Relative Caregiver Program support group (RCPCares) is excited to announce our first ever community housewarming. We would like to recognize the Connell family for their amazing efforts to provide a safe, affordable, nurturing permanent home for themselves and their relative children.
Ms. Connell accepted custody of her niece and nephews last year after the death of her mother, their custodial grandmother. At the time she was living in a two bedroom home with her own young son as a single parent. She was determined to do everything she could to keep her niece, living with disability, and her nephews together and to provide for them in the absence of her mother and their parents. Ms. Connell worked every service plan, resource, and education workshop she could to work toward the goal of moving into a bigger, safer home. On the first week of July, Ms. Connell closed on a nice home in a nice neighborhood big enough to support her suddenly larger family in efforts to level the playing field for the children who she was charge with the care of. We are very proud of our Relative Caregiver family and would like to invite the community to come show them all the love and support they have in their West Tennessee community.
