This month, our theme is “Build a New World.” This month is all about building! Every week Miss Laura will challenge participants to use the given tools to build a different type of structure. Put those thinking caps on! Our WOW! Wednesdays STEAM program for elementary students in kindergarten through fifth grade explores Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math! The group meets every Wednesday from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, in the Community Room. We will also have our Maker Space cart available for tinkering at each WOW! Wednesday. Our November activities include:• November 5: Tallest – Are you up for this week’s challenge? Let’s see who can build the tallest structure using the materials provided!
• November 12: Strongest – You might know how to make the tallest structure, but can you make the strongest one? Take on this week’s challenge with Miss Laura.
• November 19: Most Rooms – This week’s challenge is all about how to best divide up your materials to create the most rooms. Can you conquer it?
• November 26: Racing Ramps – Ready to race? Will you focus on the fastest, largest, or windiest racing ramp? Join us for this final November build!
This is a free, weekly activity, and no registration is required. For more information, call the library at 515-465-3569, or visit www.perry.lib.ia.us.
