
About this Event
Create a hand-woven snowflakes using the famous Carolina Snowflake pattern developed by basket maker Billie Ruth Sudduth. Ornaments, made by Billie using this design, once hung in the White House!
In this workshop you will weave two 12in snowflakes that, when joined together, create an eye-catch gin hand-made decoration for your holiday table, tree or mantle. Color choices are red, dark green, navy blue and natural.
Step-by-step guidance is provided by R. Darden Bradshaw, Associate Professor of Art Education and Area Coordinator for Art Education at the University of Dayton.
After class, wander the fields to pick a bundle of seasonal wildflowers and lavender.
Complementary lavender lemonade and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring other snacks and beverages to enjoy during class!
Workshop is held on the scenic covered patio of our barn, overlooking the fields.
Cedar Ridge Trails is a family run lavender farm open for workshops and u-pick lavender and wildflowers.
Weather Policy: This workshop is rain or shine! The class will be held on the patio of our barn overlooking the flower fields. If inclement weather, we will notify you of a reschedule.
