Calling all PATRIOTS:

Let’s show support to those who have given their all in service of our nation. Come out and join us on a 5K Run/Walk event held April 19, 2025 @ 0800. The 5K event will begin and end at Anderson Field House for a show of appreciation and awareness towards wounded veterans and their familes. Although it is a run or walk event, every type of athletic ability is welcome. Families are welcome as well as dogs.

(OPTIONAL- you may carry a flag, weights, assault pack or ruck sack)

The wounded warrior project (WWP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting injured veterans and service members as they transition to civilian life. Established in 2003, WWP provides critical resources such as mental health services, career counseling, adaptive sports programs and financial assistance to help wounded warriors regain their independence and improve their quality of life. By fostering a strong sense of community and resilience. WWP continues to honor and assist those who have sacrificed for their country.
