This international multicentre European clinical study published in the Journal of Wound Care, looked at 693 wounds, using the Wound Hygiene protocol, with Aquacel® Ag+ Extra™ dressing at step 4. Results showed statistically significant reductions in wound volume, exudate, suspected biofilm, and infection in hard-to-heal wounds.
Rachel Torkington-Stokes, the lead author of the study, will virtually present the study findings, provide study and protocol insights, and identify areas for further research.
During the evening, you will also hear from Ann Marie Dunk, Clinical Nurse Consultant at Canberra Hospital, who will be sharing her local experience with the Wound Hygiene Protocol and the four management steps in hard-to-heal wounds.
This meeting will be part of a series of events held around Australia simultaneously and connected virtually, taking input and questions from attendees around the nation.
