"Worthy - A Christmas Cantata" is one of the most exciting contemporary African American musical collections of our time.
"Worthy" was written by Chicago recording artist and music educator, Lana Manson and produced by her husband, world-renowned jazz bassist Michael Manson. Each song is a soulful celebration of the extraordinary love that God has demonstrated through the birth of His son, Jesus. The rhythms of this composition are a sharp contrast to traditional classics, but the message of love and redemption as the true meaning of Christmas, remains the same.
Featuring Lana Manson's Chicago Cantata Chorale and vocalists from across Fort Wayne comprising the Fort Wayne Christmas Unity Chorus, this concert offers something for everyone. Singers from diverse ethnic backgrounds and various Christian traditions are coming together to sing praises and share in the spirit of Christmas.
