🇺🇦🇺🇦 Stand With Ukraine | Help Unfurl The World’s Largest Ukrainian Flag! 🇺🇦🇺🇦In collaboration with the Ukrainian World Congress and the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations, the Ukrainian Council of NSW is proud to announce, after months of planning with Razom for Ukraine (https://www.razomforukraine.org/), that Sydney will host the world’s largest Ukrainian flag as part of its global tour!
Measuring an impressive 60m x 40m, and weighing approximately 150kg, this monumental flag began its journey in Kyiv in 2012. Since its debut, it has been raised in cities across Ukraine and the world, including a powerful display near the White House in Washington DC ().
Now it’s Sydney’s turn!
The flag has sailed here from Lake Worth, Florida, continuing its mission to unite communities and honour the resilience of the Ukrainian people.
The UCNSW invites all Ukrainians and supporters of Ukraine to #StandWithUkraine to join us for this once in a lifetime opportunity to hold and unfurl this flag in one of Sydney’s most iconic locations on Ukrainian Independence Day.

After Sydney, the flag will continue its journey to other cities in Australia.
💙💛 Blue and yellow have been Ukrainian colours since the 13th century, since the times of Prince Danylo of Lviv. The current Ukrainian flag was first raised in 1848, and has been a national symbol for well over 100 years.
Our flag is our pride. Our flag is part of our identity.Many Ukrainians have lost their lives defending our flag and what it stands for.
Let’s come together to hold and unfurl this extraordinary symbol on Ukrainian Independence Day. Let’s show the world we #StandWithUkraine!
