About this Event
For WorldPride 2025, Rainbow History is preparing a public exhibit: "Pickets, Protests, and Parades: The History of Gay Pride in Washington."
The exhibit centers the voices of the event organizers and includes the critics of Pride and the intersection of Pride and other movements for equal rights and liberation. This presentation will be an update on the entire project.
RHP exhibit volunteers will be onsite to answer questions about their projects and how you can help.
We'll share:
-- an overview of the project and where we are on the timeline
--our scope, themes, threads, and interpretive lense
--our financial, fabrication, and production team recruitment process
--the research themes we've discovered over the last 10 months
--our public outreach and media plans
--the permits and budget
-- information on how you can get involved
