"World spin in public" refers to Worldwide Spin in Public Day, an annual event on the third Saturday of September where fiber artists and spinners gather in public spaces to demonstrate the craft of turning fiber into yarn, raise awareness for the art, and share their love for the heritage craft. The event, started in 2009, allows spinners to use various tools like drop spindles and spinning wheels in a public setting to engage with communities and showcase traditional skills.
