This September, we’re hosting a special event honoring all our Veterans. Join us this September as we welcome Mike Vogt from the Star Museum for an engaging presentation on World War I. Mike will share insights into Camp Dodge’s role in the war, the expansion of the camp during that time, and the military training that took place there.This is a great opportunity to learn more about the impact World War I had on our local history and the important role Camp Dodge played in preparing soldiers for service.
We will have various uniforms from the archives in the Altoona Historical Museum that will be on display through the month of September. They will represent several branches of the military from people from Altoona.
