About this Event
We will practice qigong outside weather permitting. The forage walk will be outside after the combined class being taught by Erik Harris and Maureen Funke.
Qi gong integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention to heal the body, mind, and spirit.
The gentle, rhythmic movements of Qi Gong helps to:
reduce stress & anxiety
build stamina
increase vitality of the body & organs
enhance the immune system
We will begin with simple qi gong exercises to become grounded and establish a connection with the earth. Learn how to identify different wild edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms. Harvesting techniques will be demonstrated. Learn what mother earth’s medicine has to offer with a wide variety of healing for many ailments and diseases. Spring is one of the best times to forage. With all of the moisture we have had this year there will be plenty for us to share and also allow the plants to thrive through the summer and fall.
