About this Event
The Don Edwards SF Bay National Wildlife Refuge is a haven for shorebirds. In honor of World Shorebirds Day, join us for a beginner- and family-friendly bird outing. We will discuss the wildlife refuge and provide an introduction to shorebirds and a few identification tips!
Other Considerations:
- Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in.
- ADA-compliant parking spaces, trails, and portable toilets are available on-site.
- What to bring: Wear comfortable clothing, sun protection, and comfortable walking shoes. Reusable water bottles are a huge plus and are a great step to reducing plastic pollution. If you have binoculars, a spotting scope, or a camera, you're welcome to bring them! If not, we will have binoculars available to borrow.
- If you need any more accommodations, please don't hesitate to reach out to [email protected].
This program is brought to you by the , the nonprofit Friends group to the US Fish & Wildlife Service, with support from the Santa Clara Valley Urban Runoff Pollution Prevention Program (SCVURPPP).
