Led by Artistic Director Bill Barclay, Concert Theatre Works has created a first-ever staged production of J.S. Bach’s long-lost Markus Passion, as reconstructed by Malcolm Bruno and published by Breitkopf & Härtel. Chatham Baroque partners with New York City’s Concert Theatre Works and The Sebastians to bring J.S. Bach’s long-lost Markus Passion to life in a theatrical format narrated by actor Joseph Marcell (Royal Shakespeare Company, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), with music by 14 of the country’s leading instrumentalists and 4 phenomenal singers–Pascale Beaudin (soprano), Cody Bowers (countertenor), James Reese (tenor), and Jonathan Woody (bass-baritone).
