World Premiere di Blood&Breath® - Magdalen in Altimira (con prenotazione) si terrà nella suggestiva cornice della Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Pietà, situata proprio all'interno di Città del Vaticano.
Questo luogo sacro, ricco di storia e spiritualità, sarà l’ambientazione perfetta per una rappresentazione che combina arte, scienza e musica.
La serata vedrà la partecipazione di Stefania Rocca, straordinaria attrice che interpreterà Maria Maddalena in un viaggio emotivo e spirituale.
Amedeo Fago, regista, architetto, attore e scenografo di grande talento, che ha lavorato, tra gli altri, con Lina Wertmüller e Nanni Moretti, sarà Giuseppe d'Aramatea.
L’opera trae ispirazione dalla Legenda Aurea, opera medievale che racconta le vite dei santi, portando in scena una narrazione che risuona con domande esistenziali moderne: qual è il nostro posto nell’ecosistema e la nostra connessione con il mondo naturale?
Al centro di questo progetto, c'è l’instancabile passione di Honora Foà. Artista visionaria e co-fondatrice di Frequency Opera, Honora ha saputo dare vita a un’opera che esplora l’intreccio profondo tra amore e natura, scienza e sentimento. La sua visione si fonde con quella del compositore e direttore d’orchestra Lucas Richman, per creare un’esperienza che non è solo estetica, ma profondamente riflessiva e toccante.
Lo spettatore sarà immerso in un campo di performance circolare, una visione scenica avvolgente di proiezioni a 360-gradi di dipinti dell'artista newyorkese Margot McLean. Le sue immagini vivide, incentrate sugli animali, evocano un dialogo eterno tra il mondo umano e quello naturale.

World Première of Blood&Breath - Magdalen in Altimira (with a reservation), which will be held in the evocative setting of the Church of Santa Maria delle Pietà, located just inside Vatican City.
This sacred place, rich in history and spirituality, will be the perfect setting for a performance that combines art, science and music.
The evening will feature Stefania Rocca, an extraordinary actress who will play Mary Magdalene in an emotional and spiritual journey.
Amedeo Fago, a gifted director, architect, actor and set designer who has worked with Lina Wertmüller and Nanni Moretti, among others, will be Joseph of Arimathea.
The work draws inspiration from the Golden Legend, a medieval work recounting the lives of saints, bringing to the stage a narrative that resonates with modern existential questions: what is our place in the ecosystem and our connection to the natural world?
At the heart of this project is Honora Foà's tireless passion. A visionary artist and co-founder of Frequency Opera, Honora has been able to bring to life a work that explores the deep intertwining of love and nature, science and feeling. Her vision merges with that of composer and conductor Lucas Richman to create an experience that is not only aesthetic, but deeply reflective and moving.
The viewer will be immersed in a circular performance field, an enveloping scenic vision of 360-degree projections of paintings by New York artist Margot McLean. Her vivid images, centered on animals, evoke an eternal dialogue between human and natural worlds.
