Join African Children's Fund at the Hilton Garden Inn Abingdon on Friday 10th October to celebrate World Porridge Day with a networking breakfast and to raise funds for the Kenyan school Porridge Clubs programme, tackling school absenteeism in Thika and Kiambu County so children have better opportunities for a brighter future.
Enjoy tea, coffee, a bowl of porridge and an array of your favourite toppings as we network, while finding out how a daily mug of porridge can break the poverty cycle as Kenyan children enter adulthood. The Hilton Garden Inn chef is also planning to whip up some tasty oat-based treats and we're even hoping to offer a taster of true Kenyan uji!
Tickets are £18 each (+ eventbrite fees) from which £11 - or 120 mugs of porridge! - will be donated directly to the Porridge Clubs programme. The event has kindly been supported by Keeley Dennyschene and the Hilton Garden Inn team.
What’s more, each attendee will be entered into a prize draw, as a thank you for supporting the event, and the winning ticket holder will win an overnight stay for 2 people at the hotel with breakfast.
