About this Event
Discover the fascination of pinhole photography by making a unique portrait of yourself, taken inside St Pauls Darkrooms using a drinks can made into a pinhole camera. This is a drop-in workshop and the whole process will take 20 minutes or so. As darkroom numbers are limited to 12, you may need to wait (and explore some camera obscuras) before places becomes available.
This event is led by Justin Quinnell as part of World Pinhole Day, when people all around the globe are encouraged to take photos using pinhole cameras. You can submit your image onto the Pinholeday website (www.pinholeday.org) and be part of a worldwide gallery of pinhole photography taken on this day and/or use #wwppd
Admission is free but donations are welcome which will help with saving the community darkrooms at St Pauls Learning Centre.
All children to be accompanied by adults.
The process involve electronic flash guns being set off a few inches from your face. Completely harmless (but a bit weird!)
