Welcome to the World Peace Conference, where we celebrate human fellowship and the pursuit of peace. We extend our invitation to representatives from various religions, peace activists, and artists to join us in sharing insights on the path to peace. Central to our discussions is the exploration of universally shared values.
In today's world, the quest for peace encompasses every aspect of life. Despite increasing global integration, there is also a sense of growing mistrust and division. Religion, once a driving force in civilizations, has often been sidelined in modern discourse and even accused of fueling conflicts and wars. However, whether with or without religious influence, conflicts persist. Moreover, in the political sphere, polarization, social confrontation, and nationalism are on the rise.
Yet, amidst our diverse national, ethnic, and religious identities, there are values that we all hold dear. These values are indispensable to our sense of self, yet they also provide common ground for understanding and cooperation. This conference seeks to explore these universally shared values and their potential to pave the way for a more peaceful world.
Our aim is to delve into how these shared values can transcend boundaries, foster understanding, and offer hope for the future of humanity. By recognizing and embracing these values, we believe we can work towards a world where peace is not just a distant ideal, but a tangible reality.
