Save the date! World of Reading is one of the Junior League's signature community events that focuses on school readiness and family literacy. The event raises awareness of the importance of reading and the need to incorporate regular reading as an essential part of children’s everyday routine. The League provides literacy information, such as tips for reading aloud, and community literacy resources. We promote literacy in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere while introducing children to multi-cultural concepts. The event is FREE. Best of all, each child that attends will receive a Scholastic book!
Annually, World of Reading reaches over 10,000 families of all economic statuses and JLGL distributes over 1,000 books!
