On Saturday, May 17th, 2025, Environment for the Americas will host its annual World Migratory Bird Day event at Walden Ponds. This celebration welcomes families, nature lovers, and birdwatchers of all experience levels to learn about and appreciate migratory birds returning from their southern wintering grounds.
This year’s theme, “Shared Spaces: Creating Bird-Friendly Cities and Communities,” highlights the importance of coexisting with birds by creating environments that support them—whether in cities, towns, or neighborhoods.
The event will feature educational stations set up along the Walden Ponds short loop, from the boardwalk to the shelter, offering fun and engaging activities like bird ID games, water activities, live birds of prey, and more.
Join us for a fun and meaningful day celebrating birds and the spaces we share!
