This event, hosted by Kzoo Parks and the Audubon Society of Kalamazoo, offers something for everyone—from nature lovers to bird enthusiasts. The theme for this year's World Migratory Bird Day is Shared Spaces: Creating Bird Friendly Cities and Communities.Bird Walks:
Audubon Kzoo will lead two informative bird walks, offering attendees the opportunity to learn about local bird species and the incredible migratory patterns that shape their journeys. The first bird walk begins at 11 a.m., and the second walk starts at 1 p.m. Bring your binoculars if you have them and your enthusiasm for bird watching! Extra binoculars will also be available to use.
Arts & Crafts:
Looking for a unique gift or piece of art? Nature-themed artwork will be available for sale from talented local artists.
There will also be crafts and hands-on activities, including a fun “Create Your Own Bird Feeder” activity! This is a great opportunity to get creative and take home something that will help attract local birds to your own backyard.
