Meet Baby Emma! Emma & her twin brother Grayson were born prematurely, when mom was just 26weeks pregnant. Emma started out strong but contracted meningitis in the NICU. She came home after 134 days in the hospital but unfortunately on hospice care. We didn't think she would still be here today, but Emma has shown so much strength and has fought to live and is now 1! Doctors gave Emma a grim prognosis, but we want to help Emma prove them wrong! Emma has had some special therapy sessions that can greatly help with babies like her, but because there are long waitlists & this poor baby is in & out of the hospital frequently, she has missed a lot of them. Mom & Dad continue to advocate for Emma though & want to enroll her in Dynamic Movement Intervention Therapy. This would allow Emma to have 5 days of physical therapy that can benefit her greatly-many parents report seeing amazing progress after these sessions. The issue is that they don't accept insurance & the cost ranges from $1500-$3k per session.
In honor of Wold Meningitis Day on Saturday October 5th, we will be hosting a special fundraising class for Emma to help with getting her this therapy!
✨Current members can attend class as usual, & make a donation to her therapy fund at class if you're able, or via Venmo/Zelle/Paypal/Check to Karen-Emma's aunt & owner of Jazzercise Venice & Sarasota. Anyone that is not a member can attend class for $10 (with full amount going to Emma's fundraiser). We will also live-stream this class & so those that are not local can donate $10 & get a special one-time access to our live-streamed classes for this special event!
Many of our team members from both Venice & Sarasota locations will be here to team teach for this class, & you can come & meet Emma & her brother Grayson at the event too! 😁
