(ONONDAGA NATION) Below is a recap of the six games played on Day Eight (Friday) of the 2015 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship. SEMIFINAL: Iroquois 17, USA 10 The Iroquois Nationals put on a box lacrosse clinic in front of a standing-room-only crowd at Onondaga Nation, scoring eight straight first-half goals and five in a row in the third quarter en route to a 17-10 win over the U.S. in the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship semifinals on Friday night. The Iroquois beat the U.S. 13-9 on opening night of the WILC one week ago. This one wasn’t nearly as close. Miles Thompson had three goals and five assists, Lyle Thompson had three goals and three assists while Randy Staats also notched a hat trick. Staats and Johnny Powless each had two in the first half. Powless’ second came on a beautiful one-handed, underhand laser that made it 8-2 with 5:26 left in the second quarter. Powless also finished with six assists.📍 Venue: Adirondack Bank Center
