The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association, also known as Lajna Ima’illah is an auxiliary organisation of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Lajna Ima’illah means handmaids of Allah and was established in December 1922 in India as an independent and empowered women’s organisation by His Holiness Mirza Bashir-ud-din Mahmud Ahmad (may Allah be pleased with him), who was the Community’s second worldwide spiritual head. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's Association has over 12000 members in the UK.
