JOIN US THIS YEAR 2023. Following our annual #MissBritishEmpire world finals 2012-2022, 6 in England, then Australia, Sri Lanka, and 3 in Japan, we have booked our 2023 world final, in memory of Queen Elizabeth back in England on August 12th, 2023, in the Regency Suite Grand Pier Weston Super Mare, England 0930-1700.We have a pre-event, like we did in 2010 in England or 2019 in Sri Lanka, on 10th August 2023 at the Best Western Heronston Hotel Spa in Bridgend, Wales, with all day exclusive use of the pool area for the swimwear catwalk from 4pm and function room for other costumes sponsored by Bipin Desai. If you wish to stay overnight before/after there is a 15-20% room discount.
Initially contestants to apply via message to https://www.facebook.com/MissBritishEmpire with pictures, video links and bio. Mr/Miss/Ms Age range 15-27 as at June 2023. Younger contestants from previous years may also apply.
Any Nationality that has at any time been under British Rule. Others will be accepted to compete for our Mr./Miss/Ms. United Empires titles.
Contestants' entry fee is 40 pounds. Once selected we will ask for 20 pounds deposit after 1/April/2023 then another 20 pounds by 1/July/2023. Guest ticket requests at 20 pounds will be processed after 1/June/2023.

Note our 1st world final was in the Queens Diamond Jubliee year in the Jewel Bar Piccadilly in 2012.

Liz Fuller, Miss Great Britain 1997, created Miss British Empire following her very successful Miss Great Britain Grand Final at Weston-Super-Mare’s Grand Pier in 2010. The most beautiful ladies from different parts of Great Britain (Wales, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and other ex-empire countries) will show their best, fighting for the crown. But only the one will be called Miss British Empire!
This magical evening will be filled with pure grace and beauty, incredible performances and exquisite pieces of fashion wear, accompanied by the flashes of professional cameras trying to capture the graceful moments.
Deciding the scores will be a panel of judges, with a special Audience Award, where your voice matters!

The judges will have a description for the contestants, including height, measurements, dress size, date of birth, town/country of birth, town/country living, occupation, Hobbies, Aspirations, etc.

We have male and female contestants, we have to follow the similar programme for both (the amount of stages and style should be similar, contestants bring own costumes for 3 rounds
1. Own look (Clubwear/Partywear) 2. Swimwear 3. Evewear
1230 pm pre show shots
2pm – Grand opening (music, the presenter is on the stage)
5-7 minutes - The introductory speech introducing judges, sponsors etc.
17-20 minutes - Each of the 20-30 finalists come on the stage all together and then one by one with intro (wearing the 1st outfit). The presenter introduces each of them. Result – one best costume receives a sash (note best costume sashes are just for costume so does not imply success later)
8 minutes – Mr. British Empire 2023 5 contestants come on stage all together, then one by one with intro (wearing the 1st outfit).
3 minutes – The presenter reminds about Audience Award
Bar break
15 minutes – Each of the female finalists come on stage all together, and step forward one by one with intro to the T bar at the front, wearing the 2nd outfit. Result – one best costume gets a sash.
15 minutes – Men come on stage wearing 2nd outfit.
3 minutes – The presenter reminds about Audience Award
Bar break
15 minutes each of the girls come on stage in their eve wear in a line, and step forward one by one to the T bar at the front with intro. Presenter asks each girl a question. Result – one best costume gets a sash.
5 minutes Mr Men come on with 3rd outfit. Presenter asks each man a question. Result – one best costume gets a sash.
3 minutes – The presenter's reminder about Audience Award, and votes taken from tables.
3-4 mins Song & Dance performance
Shortlist. Result – top 9 girls for a photo, and top 4 men, then go to change to designer outfits. To mention about other various awards those can be won by any of the 20-30 contestants later, so others don’t go home yet.
2 minutes – The presenter’s speech about judges.
17-20 minutes – Fashion on the runway (one by one).
10 minutes – Fashion runway for Mr. (one by one) 4 outfits – clothes/shoes
All girls coming to the stage for the judges’ decision – Females 5 contestants go through to the next stage.
Top 3 for guys
3-4 minutes – performance
10-15 minutes – 5 girls, 3 men are on the stage. Each contestant is asked one question. (Females go first (so they can go and change), then males. The questions.
10-15 minutes – Bar break (votes calculating)
The result – girls cut from 5 to top 3
2-3 minutes – The presenter is giving thanks for sponsors and everyone who attended.
5-10 minutes – Three girl finalists get questions from the judges (2 questions for the each of the girls). Announced by the presenter.
Video presentation
5 minutes – final performance and judges go to deliberate.
10-15 minutes – The final result – all contestants on the stage (Mr. and Miss)

Finalist Pack
The agenda of the day will be as follows:
12:00 - 12:15 – Introductions.
12:15 – 12:30 – Rehearsals (Routines are very simple, rehearsals will be where you can practice walking on the stage and get any hints and tips on how to walk and pose)
1000 – Time to get ready, and individually be introduced to the judges.
1100 – Individual photos in your club/fashion/party wear, and one group shot in swimwear (bring tracksuit/jacket/trainers to keep warm).
13:00 - Doors open to the public, NOTE ONE OF THE TOP 9/5 IS SELECTED BY GUEST VOTE SO GET AS MANY FRIENDS/FAMILIES TO BOOK AS POSSIBLE AT £20 each, or £10 for under 18s accompanied by adults.
2 pm – Show starts.
4:30pm – Show is expected to end around this time, it shouldn’t be later.

The UK team, judges, presenter, etc will travelling to from the venue on the day so will only be available at the venue.
But the main part of the show will of course be our contestants, the rounds are as follows:
Own look (Cocktail Wear/Partywear)
This outfit should be an outfit that shows your personality and confidence. It can be anything from a dress to club wear. We recommend wearing an outfit that you feel confident and happy in. Don’t forget to match that outfit with some great accessories and shoes.
Swimwear
Swimwear can be a one piece or a bikini, whatever you feel comfortable in. you can also accessorise this with a sarong, jewellery, hats, anything that will make you stand out.
Evening Wear
Evening wear will be the final outfit and should be an evening/prom gown of your choice with accessories to match, but if there is an issue with cost a short dress is an option. The top 9 will then be selected, and then they will do a catwalk wearing outfits provided by a sponsor. Interview questions will be asked during this round to determine the top 5, and then a final interview question will be asked to determine the top 3.

A fortnight in Greece competing at Miss Tourism Planet.
The title for the full year and you can be involved in many appearances throughout the year.
Runners up will also receive a sash.
We will also have extra awards:
Miss Smile, Miss Sparkling Eyes, Miss Best in Interview, Miss Elegance, Miss Popularity, Miss Publicity, and audience vote award.
There is also a sash for Mr British Empire, and these similar rounds will alternate with the above rounds.
There will be a knobbly knee contest for male guests as per British Seaside Holiday Tradition.
