Voxel Gallery is honored to present World Famous, a solo exhibition of the late Gunther José Frank (1974–2009), opening on Friday, September 19th from 6 to 9 PM at 312 West Champion Street.Frank’s visionary work blurs the line between photography and painting, memory and dreamscape. A central focus of this exhibition is his digitally enhanced photography—bold, neon-soaked scenes that recast the everyday with cinematic intensity. Frank captures moments drenched in surreal color and shadow, transforming ordinary into theatrical tableaus alive with mystery and motion.
This poignant exhibition features a substantial collection of digitally enhanced photography—some of the last work Frank exhibited publicly, just two months before his untimely passing. Known for his bold visual language and genre-defying approach, Frank’s work explores the surreal edge of the everyday. World Famous invites viewers to re-engage with his legacy—one marked by sharp observation, technical experimentation, and an almost electric sense of atmosphere.
