About Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal
Founded in 1956 by Father Léandre Brault, c.s.c., Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal have a rich heritage rooted in the tradition of great masters dating back to Europe in the 6th century. Comprising 210 boys aged eight to seventeen from diverse cultural backgrounds, they share a common passion for singing. Their repertoire spans from Gregorian chant to contemporary vocal works, allowing them to explore the great polyphonic works of all eras and countries.
Throughout the year, these young singers grace more than seventy religious ceremonies at the Saint-Joseph Oratory of Mount Royal and perform in numerous concerts. They are also featured in several radio and television programs and are regularly invited to perform at operas and concerts abroad. Their international performances include tours in Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, and various European countries.
The choir’s rigorous educational program provides advanced musical training, including piano, music theory, vocal technique, choral singing, and both sacred and secular repertoires. This program continues through secondary school, incorporating musical writing and repertoire studies. Marie-Pierre Rolland serves as the general director, while Andrew Gray is the musical and artistic director.

Founded in 2023 by Artistic Director Simon Charette, L’Opéra Comique de Washington (OCW) specializes in the French lyrical repertoire, particularly operettas and lighter works. OCW's mission is to introduce Washington, D.C., to the charm of French operetta and provide performance opportunities for emerging talents.
